As we all know that YouTube is one of the biggest video sharing websites that recently upgrades new features in its application for Windows Phone 8 users. The YouTube application for Windows Phone 8 got various new upgrades that you should know for better use of this app. The company has turned its simple application into a full-fledged and feature-rich application. As per the latest updates of a blog post of Microsoft, “It's been completely redesigned to make the most of Windows Phone 8 features”.
The new application got many new features that allow users to pin videos, channels, playlists and search queries to the Windows Phone live tiles. As per the Redmond, “The tile flips to show either the latest video from your subscriptions or the most popular one”. The best thing about the new upgrades is that playlists are now showed in a new touch-friendly filmstrip interface, and all the users are able to share videos through social networks like Facebook and Twitter, text, and email.
However, many of you may prefer to listen to songs or anything then you can also play videos in the background no matter whether your phone is locked or unlocked. However, kids are allowed to enjoy Kid’s corner as YouTube can be easily joined to Kid’s Corner with parental controls in place. If you are already using this application, you can get new features through an upgrade. The new upgraded application is obtainable on the Windows Phone app store, so users can easily download it and enjoy numerous features.
The new upgrades are only obtainable for Windows Phone 8 users and Windows Phone 7.5 users will get new application in near future. The new updates of this application come few months after Microsoft said the lack of a full-featured YouTube application for Windows Phone was one of the major reasons why Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust probe into Google was warranted.

According to the Dave Heiner, a vice president and deputy general counsel of Microsoft, said “We continue to be dogged by an issue we had hoped would be resolved by now: Google continues to prevent Microsoft from offering consumers a fully featured YouTube app for the Windows Phone”.
He also added “This is an important issue because consumers value YouTube access on their phone: YouTube apps on the Android and Apple platforms were two of the most downloaded mobile applications in 2012, according to recent news reports.” He continued "Yet Google still refuses to allow Windows Phone users to have the same access to YouTube that Android and Apple customers enjoy."
So Windows Phone 8 users can download this new upgraded application from Windows Phone app store and enjoy a range of new features and functionalities.
